I purchased my espresso machine not a long time ago, and I wonder now how I ever got along without it. I did a lot of research and was going back and forth among the XP4050 and a more costly model. Although the elegant ones have a few awesome features, the price tag was far too high. So, I kept returning to the Krups machine, which turned out to be reliable and automatic espresso magician.
I was very thrilled with the very first espresso I brewed with my new Krups XP4050 that I've gone from being a dedicated coffee lover to a proved coffee fanatic. I'm anxious to tell you more of the magnificent functions I observed in this machine.
Although I really like this model, when I make cappuccinos, I would prefer that the cream be frothier. My method was to take the frother off and use just the stem as a shorter version of the feature. But, I'm a fan of being able to warm milk or coffee. It's a mean and lean coffee making machine! You can pick between mixed single or double espresso shots via the mixed capsules that the machine comes with and replacing them isn't so expensive. The water reservoir is convenient to use, refill and to remove, but be sure that you lock into place or the hot part does not work also. But not to worry as, if everything isn't correctly in place, the machine will inform you.

It is not costly.
You can take it with you anywhere you go.
It makes magnificent coffee.
Catchment tray is a bit small.
I am not so impressed by the main spout.
Overall, I'm of the opinion that this maker comes in at 2nd place of all the ones available.
